As the Build Challenge deadline nears (September 20th!) here’s a quick look at what developers in the Stellar community are working on.
Stellar Core Indexer
Developer: @bfish
Get granular intelligence about the Stellar network using @bfish’s new Elasticsearch indexer. Use it with Kibana to visualize, analyze and explore events on Stellar.
Send Lumens via Slack Message
Developer: @scottc
“Payments right now are like how telephone calls used to be--connected manually by telephone operators” said @scottc. “Ingress is hard, and payments are costly.”
To lower the barrier to entry, he is developing a tool to send lumens via message.
The Stellar Slack community has been a resource for support as he explored the developer tools:
Stellarchain.io
Developer: @florincm
StellarChain.io is a tool to visually track transactions on Stellar network. It was built in Javascript using Stellar libraries and a custom version of Bootstrap.
Florincm plans to include more robust features in the future, include graphs and other types of data scrapes from the Stellar network.
Updates to Lobstr
Developers: @gleb and @dmgmyza
Lobstr, a wallet for lumens on iOS, Android, and web, has about 1,000 users and continues to grow.
The team plans to add new functionality in the future, including two-factor authentication, support for multiple wallets and a public API.
Next Steps
We’re thrilled about the developer activity in the Stellar ecosystem, and can’t wait to see what people make for the Build Challenge.
