April 4, 2017   You'll Hear it Here First! Hello  New partnerships, network updates, conferences and events, speaking engagements and other exciting news happens every month at Stellar. But how would you know if we don't provide you with updates?  So that's what this newsletter will be. Once a month we will send you a quick update on what's been going on at Stellar. Company news, network updates, new partnerships, great articles, upcoming events and anything else we think would interest you. And if you think we missed anything, we hope you'll contact us to let us know! Inform, not spam is the motto we will live by with our emails. Top Stories We're distributing up to 16 billion lumens to bitcoin holders Last week we announced our next bitcoin-lumen distribution. Starting on June 27th, we will be distributing up to 16 BILLION lumens to bitcoin holders or 16% of the initial lumens. These lumens will be available to any bitcoin holder who wants them, including those that received lumens during the first giveaway round. Read our recent blog post for all the details. We are relaunching the Direct Signup Program We have revamped the Direct Signup Program to be invite driven. We are kicking it off by inviting our community, meaning *you*, to claim 2,500 lumens free. If you are receiving this email, expect to receive an invite to claim your lumens in the near future as you will be among the first to take part in the program. Added the ability to do atomic cross chain swaps allowing integration with various cross chain protocols like lightning networks.  Horizon updates Various updates; Most notably, we have made the history ingestion process much more reliable and made it easier to manage the horizon database.
